7:00AM - 12:00PM Rocky Mount Farmer's Market The Guild’s spring fundraiser is the annual bargain sale, where members and sustainers donate gently used items to be sold to the public at affordable prices. The 15th Annual Bargain Sale and Breakfast will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 7-12 pm. The event will be held at the Farmer’s Market and will be open to the general public with a $2 per person admission fee. We will sell various donated breakfast items during the sale. November and December have been busy months for our Junior Guild Ladies. We've cleaned the roadside, rang the bell, donated canned food, spent time together, met our newest members, and planned for 2018. Merry Christmas to all! The Puppet Committee is preparing "The Little Engine that Could" for its December 10th debut at the Imperial Centre's Winter Wonderland Event. Multiple shows will be held that day between 2pm and 5pm. A big thank you to our puppets committee: Jessie Langley - Chair, Diana Bradley - Co-Chair, Lucy Armstrong, Jamila Hawkins, Sarah Wester and Jenny White. Please come out on December 10th to enjoy the show and support our Puppet's Committee! The 2017 mum sales was a huge success. This year, we sold a total of 800 mums. Our top two seller were Tiffany Delano and Mariah McKeller. With a lot of hard work, the fundraising committee was able to raise $3,095 from this one event! Thank you to everyone who participated in buying, selling, and/or volunteering your time.
Pictured above are the ten Past President of the Junior Guild in attendance to celebrate the Guild's 80 years of service! An evening to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Junior Guild was held in June of 2017 at Benvenue Country Club with a Breakfast at Tiffany's Theme hosted by the Social committee. It was attend by many active and sustain members, and ten past presidents.
Junior Guild members enjoyed a holiday dinner and social on Thursday,
Dec. 1 at Benvenue Country Club. Junior Guild welcomed the new class of provisionals (group picture below), and everyone celebrated the holiday season. Six past presidents were also in attendance, and we collected items for over a dozen kids from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. Enjoy these additional pics from the holiday dinner and social.
